Swamishri had just finished his morning session of counseling and was going for lunch from the mandir conference room. Two youths, Sandip and Jaydip from Mumbai, who had come on a concert tour of England, were waiting in the corridor.
Swamishri looked at Sandip and asked him, "Which one of you is older?"
"I am, but Jaydip is bigger than me," replied Sandip. "He is bigger in every respect," added Swamishri.
"I am, but Jaydip is bigger than me," replied Sandip. "He is bigger in every respect," added Swamishri.
"Yes, that's right," agreed Sandip. "He is famous, I'm small." Hearing this, Swamishri said, "The key to happiness in Satsang is to remain small."
Through this incident Swamishri is teaching all of us to remain small and humble in Satsang - for that is the way to please God. The key to happiness in Satsang is service and humility.
